BOARD CHANGE
It is announced that on 1 October 2019 Mr Shobi Khan was appointed to the board as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Khan was also appointed to the boards of Canary Wharf Group Investment Holdings plc and Canary Wharf Group plc and other Canary Wharf Group companies.
Mr Khan's primary responsibility will be the maximisation of value in the Group's existing investment portfolio and will lead on asset and capital management. The office and retail leasing, retail and estate management, legal and finance functions will also fall under his remit, with a joint responsibility on strategy with the executive Chairman.
Shobi Khan has over 27 years' of experience in the U.S. real estate sector, having held a number of senior roles and having also been responsible for a number of key asset management, joint venture and other capital multi-billion dollar investments.
Mr Shobi Khan was formerly President and Chief Operating Officer of General Growth Properties, Inc. (GGP) having joined in 2011 and then promoted to the role of President in December 2016. Shobi Khan was previously U.S. Chief Investment Officer and Partner at Bentall Kennedy from 2008 – 2011.
