As the only stock exchange in the Crown Dependencies, the Group offers unique career opportunities and employs staff with a diverse range of skills and experience. Our success is founded in the quality of our staff. The Group makes a significant investment in staff training and professional development to help individuals progress in their chosen careers. We have a Career Development Framework which is aimed to support staff in their development, as well as established secondment and buddy programmes. We are also supporting staff undertaking the CISI Green Finance Certificate, the first benchmark qualification for the green finance sector.

Supporting our Staff

We recognise that the wellbeing of our staff is crucial to maintaining a positive culture and, to complement our focus on mental wellbeing in the workplace, TISE has funded training for members of staff to become accredited Mental Health First Aiders.

The CSR Committee also organises further initiatives throughout the year to support employee wellbeing such as such as a Wellbeing Week and supporting Mental Health Awareness Week.

Corporate Social Responsibility

In line with our values TISE believes in and is dedicated to the importance of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which is why we have a dedicated CSR Committee and we were amongst the first companies to have been accredited by the ESI Monitor with a Gold Community Champion Award.

Partnering with our Communities

Each year, the people at TISE nominate and vote for a ‘Charity of Choice’ for TISE to partner with; throughout the year TISE then supports the chosen organisation through fundraising initiatives and volunteering opportunities. The CSR Committee then organises fundraising events and initiatives to raise as much money as possible for the chosen charity in each of our jurisdictions.

Our CSR programme has supported a diverse range of charitable initiatives including Help a Guernsey Child, The Children’s Centre (IOM), Guernsey Mind, Jersey Scout Association, The Ivy Trust and Les Bourgs Hospice. All funds raised by staff through CSR events are matched by the Company.

Examples of previous events that have been held include wine & cheese nights, games evenings, bake sales, raffles and more.

Managing our Environmental Impact

Our vision, mission and values are underpinned by a focus on responsible and sustainable business practices. The Group has implemented a range of recycling and energy-efficient policies (such as reduced printing and energy saving light systems) aimed at reducing overall consumption at our offices and minimising the negative impact on our environment.
