Our Values

Our values support out vision and mission and define our common beliefs. They were chosen by our employees as the behaviours which we all strive to act by - both as an organisation and individually.

  • We take responsibility for our own actions and are accountable for them
  • We build our future success by working together to help achieve individual, team and business objectives
  • We conduct and manage our business in a responsible and sustainable way

Be curious

Ask, learn and innovate for good

  • We ask questions – an inquisitive and investigative mindset underpins effective regulation
  • We adapt our approach to enhance our competitiveness – finding new (and often better) ways of doing things
  • We operate within a dynamic international environment and seek out new opportunities as they emerge

Be connected

Together we are more

  • We work together to provide our market with the highest levels of service
  • We are responsive - engaging with our stakeholders (including market participants, regulators and industry associations) to adapt and improve our products and services
  • We support and engage with the communities in which we live and work

Our Commitment to You

Your Development

Our success is founded in the quality of our staff. At TISE we have a true passion for providing the right support for our staff so that they can achieve their full potential.

We have implemented an internal Career Development Framework, so that staff members can see what their future career will look like, and how to achieve their career aspirations. We also look to support our staff in undertaking relevant courses and qualifications, below are some of the industry bodies that we have supported our staff in achieving qualifications through.

Your Wellbeing
We have looked to implement a number of initiatives that support our staff wellbeing. Each year as an organisation we look to recognise Mental Health Awareness Week as well as organising our own Wellbeing Week each year. We also offer our staff an annual subsidy towards supporting their wellbeing whether that be towards a gym membership, yoga classes etc, private health insurance, dental insurance and free eye tests as part of their employment with TISE.

Your Choice
Here at TISE we have also implemented initiatives such as ‘Dress for your Day’ and remote working in order to give staff flexibility in their employment.

Life at TISE

Emily Wilson, Assistant Compliance Officer

"I started my career in Market Regulation at TISE after graduating from university, but an exciting opportunity became available in Compliance which suited my investigative mindset. TISE supported my transition to the new role and I am now studying towards an internationally recognised Compliance diploma. The business encourages staff development which is excellent to be a part of."

Emily Humphry, Chief Governance Officer

"When I joined TISE in 2017, I knew that I wanted to undertake further professional study to achieve my qualification as a Chartered Secretary. TISE provided a supportive and flexible working environment to enable me to attend study days and prepare for exams and coursework submissions. In 2020, after three years’ study, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University and attained Chartered status with the Chartered Governance Institute UK and Ireland (formerly ICSA)."

Adrian D'Arcy, Senior Analyst - Market Regulation

“Since joining TISE I have been able to progress and expand my skills significantly in a culture of knowledge-sharing and teamwork. Throughout all of this I have continued to be supported by TISE in studying for professional qualifications from an early stage, most recently completing the International Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention with Distinction.”

Mark Nicol, Managing Director, TISEA

“I am fortunate to be part of a team of incredible people who value having a learning mindset, who are all contributing to deliver an exciting strategy, and who operate our market with integrity. Our business is unique, our work is varied and interesting, and all of our successes are the result of team effort.”

Our Commitment to the Community

Our charity of choice

Each year at TISE, our staff nominate and then vote for a local charity to be our Charity of Choice for us to support for the year.

Throughout the year we look to organise fundraising initiatives to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity, at the end of the year TISE then matches the amount that has been raised.
Our Charity of Choice for this year is currently the Guernsey Victim Support & Witness Service, with past charities including Help a Guernsey Child, Guernsey Mind, Les Bourgs Hospice and the GSPCA.

Volunteering
Giving back to the community is not just about financial contributions, therefore, we also look to support our staff in having paid time off to volunteer for our Charity of Choice for each year.

Awards
We are also proud to be recognised for our contributions to the community, and were amongst the first recipients to have been awarded the Community Champion Award accredited through the ESI Monitor.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Our values support our vision and mission and define our common beliefs.
