Our Values

Our values support our vision and mission and define our common beliefs. They were chosen by our employees as the behaviours which we all strive to act by - both as an organisation and individually.

Be responsible

For yourself, for your team, for the planet

  • We take responsibility for our own actions and are accountable for them
  • We build our future success by working together to help achieve individual, team and business objectives
  • We conduct and manage our business in a responsible and sustainable way

Be curious

Ask, learn and innovate for good

  • We ask questions – an inquisitive and investigative mindset underpins effective regulation
  • We adapt our approach to enhance our competitiveness – finding new (and often better) ways of doing things
  • We operate within a dynamic international environment and seek out new opportunities as they emerge

Be connected

Together we are more

  • We work together to provide our market with the highest levels of service
  • We are responsive - engaging with our stakeholders (including market participants, regulators and industry associations) to adapt and improve our products and services
  • We support and engage with the communities in which we live and work

Our Commitment to You

Your Development

Our success is founded in the quality of our staff. At TISE we have a true passion for providing the right support for our staff so that they can achieve their full potential.

We have implemented an internal Career Development Framework, so that staff members can see what their future career will look like, and how to achieve their career aspirations. We also look to support our staff in undertaking relevant courses and qualifications, below are some of the industry bodies that we have supported our staff in achieving qualifications through.

Your Wellbeing
We have looked to implement a number of initiatives that support our staff wellbeing. Each year as an organisation we look to recognise Mental Health Awareness Week as well as organising our own Wellbeing Week each year. We also offer our staff an annual subsidy towards supporting their wellbeing whether that be towards a gym membership, yoga classes etc, private health insurance, dental insurance and free eye tests as part of their employment with TISE.

We also have a number of staff members who are trained Mental Health First Aiders and Safer Spaces Champions, so that we can aim to identify, understand, support and help any staff member who may be experiencing a mental health issue or domestic abuse.

Your Choice
Here at TISE we have also implemented initiatives such as ‘Dress for your Day’ and remote working in order to give staff flexibility in their employment.

Life at TISE

Emily Humphry, Chief Governance Officer

"When I joined TISE in 2017, I knew that I wanted to undertake further professional study to achieve my qualification as a Chartered Secretary. TISE provided a supportive and flexible working environment to enable me to attend study days and prepare for exams and coursework submissions. In 2020, after three years’ study, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University and attained Chartered status with the Chartered Governance Institute UK and Ireland."

Adrian D'Arcy, Assistant Manager - Market Regulation

“Since joining TISE I have been able to progress and expand my skills significantly in a culture of knowledge-sharing and teamwork. Throughout all of this I have continued to be supported by TISE in studying for professional qualifications from an early stage, most recently completing the International Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention with Distinction.”

Jennifer Baudains, Office Manager & Marketing Executive

"I’ve worked at TISE since 2015 and when I had my daughter in 2022 I wanted to look at adjusting my hours. TISE was incredibly supportive of this and the flexible working policy has allowed me to create a great work / life balance. This means as well as being part of a fantastic team and still feeling able to contribute to the continuing success of the business, I also get to spend quality time with my daughter and watch her grow. I’m very grateful to work for a company that is forward thinking and supportive of its staff."

Neeta O'Keeffe, Analyst, Market Regulation

"Relocating to Guernsey in 2023, I wanted to meet new people and be a part of the community. I had been managing my own business for many years, but I found myself wanting to work within a team. Not having worked in finance for over 20 years, I was a little hesitant to apply for jobs. The opportunity to join TISE sounded unique and compelling and at the interview I knew I wanted the role. I’ve joined as an Analyst in a dynamic and supportive team where the focus is very much on development and training."

Cameron Craine, Head of Listings

“I joined TISE in 2011 as an Assistant Analyst and have most recently been promoted to Director and Head of Listings. TISE has supported my progression and I am grateful to work for an amazing company that actively supports staff development, provides clear career progression and rewards them accordingly.”

Our Commitment to the Community

Our charity of choice

Each year at TISE, our staff nominate and then vote for a local charity to be our Charity of Choice for us to support for the year.

Throughout the year we look to organise fundraising initiatives to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity, at the end of the year TISE then matches the amount that has been raised.
Our Charity of Choice for this year is Safer with past charities including the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, Guernsey Victim Support & Witness Service, Help a Guernsey Child, Guernsey Mind, Les Bourgs Hospice and the GSPCA.

Volunteering
Giving back to the community is not just about financial contributions, therefore, we also look to support our staff in having paid time off to volunteer for our Charity of Choice for each year.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Our values support our vision and mission and define our common beliefs.
