Head of Information Systems, IT Department – Guernsey

TISE is seeking to recruit a Head of Information Systems to head up our IT Department based in Guernsey. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Information Systems will provide day to day management and oversight of the IT department, manage the relationships with our third-party IT service providers, manage technical and architectural decisions and ensure operational service to internal and external users is stable and maintained.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead, manage and motivate the IT department.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
• Oversee the technological infrastructure of the Group to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify, manage and mitigate IT related risks.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
• Monitor performance of systems to determine cost and productivity levels and make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
• Ensure the Exchange’s technology infrastructure and processes comply with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of TISE’s platforms.
• Provide Board/Committee updates, reports and presentations as and when required.

The key competencies for this role include demonstrable experience of core technology disciplines and project and change management, experience with vendor management, excellent written and verbal skills to all levels of stakeholders and alignment with company values.
