Julia joined the Board of The International Stock Exchange Group Limited in March 2023 as an independent Non-Executive Director. She is Chair of the Nominations Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Background, Experience and Skills

Julia, who is based in Jersey, has more than 30 years’ experience in the investment fund and capital markets sector. She is a solicitor qualified in England & Wales and in Jersey.

Having trained with Simmons & Simmons in London, Julia moved to Jersey to work for Mourant du Feu & Jeune (now Mourant) and became a partner in 1999 before being appointed general counsel to the firm’s fund administration division. Following its acquisition by State Street in April 2010, she was appointed European Senior Counsel in the alternative investment services division. In July 2012, Julia left State Street to co-found Altair Partners, focusing on the independent provision of directorship and governance services to a small number of alternative investment fund vehicles.
